As the elections are nearing, different personalities from different backgrounds are entering the political arena. Cine actors, former bureaucrats, established lawyers are in fray.
One common aspect of these and also of those who joined earlier is -- they never distribute or spend the hundreds or thousands of crores they amassed earlier among/for the people. They all talk about the present degenerated system and show a rosy picture of change when they come to power. They concentrate on different sections of the people to come to power.
As com. Chandra Pullareddy visualised in late 1970s, the ruling classes have exhausted all their biscuits for wooing the public. They had to resort to casteism, religionism, regionalism, linguistic chauvinism, secessionist agitations etc. As Com. Chandra Pulla reddy rightly predicted, the political scenario changed from early 1980s.
The media had earlier projected many 'Mr. Cleans' - Ramakrishna Hegde, NT Rama Rao, Rajiv Gandhi, PV Narasimha Rao, Vajpayee etc. Later they all revealed their true colors and got exposed as most corrupt personalities.
The forth coming personalities viz. Chiranjivi, Jayaprakas, S. Ramachandra Rao etc. are no exceptions. They are wooing different sections of the people and coming out with different tactics / slogans. In essence they are choosing a better business i.e. political business to further acquire thousands of crores and for acquiring security to their ill-earned money.
Com. Chandra Pullareddy had long ago characterised the so-called communist parties -- CPI and CPI(M) as bourgeois parties. They left Marxism-Leninism long ago. They are not trying to educate the people. They are trying further to create illusions among the masses over the bourgeois parliamentary system. If people again blindly believe some new personality, they would tie up with him and bag some seats for themselves. They are again and again proving to be part of this system.
Even some so called Marxist-Leninist Parties also exhibit illusions towards bourgeois leaders / parties. We have to wait and see what more is cooking.
People have to reject all these designs, reject this aristocratic rule in the name of democracy and work for a new democracy.
